Pixel ads a fad?
- ByMcFly on December 29th, 2006 in The Million Dollar Knockoff
I’ve seen a few articles, and or blog posts, that say pixel advertising is a fad’ it’s not really a fad, it’s a spoof. When I started on this project, a year ago. I had stars in my eyes, and visions of easy money. Today I have 2 assistants, and visions of much hard work ahead, and fun of course. I’ve seen pixel ad sites, some moderately successful, come and go guess some people just don’t like to hustle. But we are here to stay, till 2011 anyway. And while many were raising money for an individual goal, we’re treating The Million Dollar Knockoff like a business, because that is what it is, but a fun business. While the premise behind it is fun, once money chages hands, we have an obligation to follow through, and that we are serious about. Right now there are 3 advertising sites in this project, The Million Dollar Knockoff, 500words Knockoff, and One Million Links Project. All of these have a common goals.
- Driving traffic to our customers websites.
- Funding a serious directory portal we are working on.
- Paying our bills, while we work on said portal.
That being said, if we thought pixel advertising were a fad, would we really put my time and effort into it. Ok, so we are spoofing a spoof, just because we are serious, doesn’t mean we can’t have fun doing it.
